Dear Friends, December 2021
Thank you for those who donated to the Compassionate Community Care (CCC) this year! Any donations made in 2021 will receive an official charitable donation receipt for income tax purposes and will be issued in January 2022.
Through your generosity, Compassionate Community Care, as a charity, offers assistance for people facing difficult medical decisions or who need advice concerning euthanasia, assisted suicide and end-of-life treatment issues sharing life-affirming advice for people through CCC’s confidential and toll-free hotline at 1-855-675-8749. We regularly receive crisis calls and are able to provide advice, help and support. As well, CCC provides Visiting Training Program usually offered as a one-day training.
The following are some of the things that CCC accomplished in 2021:
In January CCC held a two day event for the London Diocese Catholic Women’s League (CWL) on the My Story and Visiting Training program “being with”, with 85 women participating in this event.
In February CCC was approved for the Community Advocacy Program, from the New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP) through the federal government. Also in February, CCC held a meeting with the CWL Ontario Provincial leaders discussing the My Story Program that we offer.
In April, CCC held an event for Salt Lake City Diocese in Utah, covering the Visitor Training Program and My Story. In May, CCC was a part of the National March for life Promo Video.
Half Marathon a Success: Thank you Alex!
In October, Alex Schadenberg completed the Compassionate Community Care half marathon run along with members of the Knights of Columbus and James Schadenberg. This year, the Half Marathon raised $15,570.00. Thank you to everyone who sponsored this event!
